Located only 15 minutes from Rodez, the Medieval "Parc du Colombier" is watched over by a lordly manor house, and offers an enchanting promenade back to the Middle Ages. The animal park will introduce you to the animals of centuries gone by, such as bears, wolves, lions, monkeys hawks and small game - wild species known to Europeans of the time! Stroll amongst the freely roaming bears, and just imagine those Medieval lords who shared their bed-chamber with a "tamed" one!

Animal-feeding activities with their caretakers from May to August.

This park has more than 250 animals, with numerous breeds from the four corners of the globe, and strives for the preservation of rare breeds in a natural setting. See the reconstruction of a rural village past and present. Visit the nature corner, with tamed predators, the miniature village for children with petting-zoo, the wild west village and playground, the fishing area, relax in the picnic area and bar, or buy local produce.

This park boasts more than 20 hectares with deer, mouflons, bisons, antilopes and lynx. Visits are possible in a little train, at additional cost. It also has exhibitions, videos, interactive markers and a picnic area. The Museum of rural life is nearby.

The Association "Des Boraldes aux Enguilhens" and the Syndicat d'Initiative Cantonal (Tourism Office) organises outings to hear the mating cry of the stag in rut. (September, October).

At Peyreleau, discover more than 350 vultures, as well as numerous other species of birds. Scenic view-point for the vultures in the Gorges de la Jonte.
